Are you allergic to deodorants? How to make a natural homemade deodorant

To avoid allergies, you can prepare your own natural deodorant, which will help you achieve less skin irritation and avoid the allergic problems that the use of commercial deodorant often presents.

There are many reasons why we should be concerned about the use of commercially prepared antiperspirants and deodorants. These are just some of the dangers that these products full of chemicals and pollutants can represent and you can also learn step by step how to make your own natural probiotic deodorant.

There are hidden dangers in the active ingredients of conventional deodorant (i.e., Aluminum, Parabens, Propylene Glycol, Phthalates, and Triclosan). Current research shows a strong link between aluminum-containing antiperspirants and breast cancer, birth defects, allergies, and hormonal imbalances.

Let the body do what the body is going to do. I believe that when we try to inhibit the natural functions of the body, we negatively affect the rhythms created with a purpose.

It was these concerns and research insights into probiotics that led me to create my own solution by making this natural deodorant.

How to prepare the natural probiotic deodorant?

Ingredients.
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa butter.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil.
  • 1 tablespoon shea butter.
  • 1 tablespoon Bee wax.
  • 2 1/2 tbsp. arrowroot powder.
  • 1 tablespoon sodium bicarbonate.
  • 1/4 tsp vitamin E oil.
  • 15 drops of essential oil of your choice.
  • 2 capsules of probiotics powder.
Processing method:
  1. Melt the cocoa butter, coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax over low heat.
  2. Remove the pot from the heat, then add the arrowroot powder and baking soda. Beat with chopsticks until all the powders are dissolved and combined. Add the vitamin E, oil and essential oils at this time. Let the mixture cool in the mold. Once it cools down and takes on a custard consistency, open the capsules of probiotic powder and add to the mix. Stir with a spatula to combine quickly.
  3. Add the mixture to a clean recycled deodorant container. Place in the refrigerator to cool and harden. This recipe with a full container lasts at least 3-4 months. Remember, a little bit and it’s going to last a long way.
Recommendations:
  1. When choosing a probiotic supplement for this natural deodorant, it is important to find one that is shelf stable. It should also contain highly resistant beneficial bacteria such as lactobacilli and bifidobacterial. These “good bacteria” have the ability to survive the acidic pH of the stomach during digestion and are the ones that should be included in this recipe.
  2. If you have sensitive skin, substitute the use of baking soda and use only arrowroot powder. You can also consider omitting essential oils.
  3. Use good essential oils, any scent or make a combination of scents. So, pick your favorite and have fun with it.
