The benefits of hydrogen peroxide and its many uses

Did you know that hydrogen peroxide is considered one of the most effective disinfectant agents? In addition to being optimal for health, it can help with household chores, as well as an ally for beauty treatments. Know in depth all the benefits of hydrogen peroxide and incorporate it into your routine.

Uses and benefits of hydrogen peroxide.

Hydrogen peroxide is the only germicidal agent composed only of water and oxygen. Like the ozone layer, it kills pathogens by oxidation. It is considered the safest of all the natural and effective disinfectants in the world. It kills microorganisms through oxidation, which can best be described as a controlled combustion process. When hydrogen peroxide reacts with organic material, it decomposes into oxygen and water.

Whiten clothes.

To get clothes whitening, you must add a cup of hydrogen peroxide to white clothes to bleach them. It is ideal for getting rid of blood stains on clothes and carpets. If there is blood on the clothes, pour directly on the stain, let it sit for about a minute, then you should rub and rinse with cold water. Repeat several times if necessary.

Health.

Your body produces hydrogen peroxide to fight infection that must be present for our immune system to function properly. White blood cells are known as leukocytes. A sub-class of leukocytes called neutrophils produce hydrogen peroxide as the first line of defense against toxins, parasites, bacteria, viruses, and yeast.

Rejuvenating and detoxifying bath.

Use about 2 quarts of 3% hydrogen peroxide to a tub of warm water. Soak in for at least 1/2 hour, add hot water as needed to maintain a comfortable water temperature.

Foot fungus.

To cure a foot fungus, simply sprinkle a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and allow to dry.

Showers.

Add 2 caps of 3% hydrogen peroxide to hot distilled water once or twice a week to eliminate even chronic yeast infections.

Colonic Irrigations or Enemas.

For colonic irrigations, add 1 cup (8 oz.) Of 3% hydrogen peroxide to 5 gallons of hot water. (You should not exceed this amount) For an enema, add 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide to a liter of hot distilled water.

Infections.

Soak the infections or cuts in the 3% hydrogen peroxide for five to ten minutes several times a day. Even gangrene that cannot be cured with any medication has already been cured by immersion in hydrogen peroxide. Put half a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in your bathroom to help get rid of fungus or other skin infections.

Bird mite infections.

Patients infected by the tiny mites report that the hydrogen peroxide effectively kills the mites on their skin. Apply the hydrogen peroxide with a spray bottle to the skin a couple of times (with a few minutes of difference between applications) with surprising results.

Sinus infections.

One tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with 1 cup of non-chlorinated water can be used as a nasal spray. Depending on the degree of complication of the paranasal sinus, the amount of peroxide used will have to be adjusted.

Wound care.

3% hydrogen peroxide is used medically for wound cleansing, removal of dead tissue, and as an oral debridement agent. It can also stop wound bleeding and discharge.

Some sources recommend soaking infections or cuts for five to ten minutes several times a day. However, the washing and rinsing action is sufficient. You should not leave the solution on open tissue for long periods of time as, like many oxidizing antiseptics, hydrogen perioxide causes minor tissue damage in open wounds. Therefore it is important to use it with caution.

Mouthwash and teeth care.

You can prepare a mouthwash daily, you just have to keep it in your mouth for a few minutes and then spit it out. In this way avoid canker sores , and your teeth will be whiter.  If you have a terrible toothache and can’t go to a dentist right away, you can put 3% hydrogen peroxide in a cap and then pour it into your mouth holding it for 10 minutes several times a day. The pain will decrease to a great extent.

Many people do not realize that  hydrogen peroxide makes a very effective and inexpensive mouthwash. Use 3% hydrogen peroxide – add a touch of liquid chlorophyll for flavor, if desired.

Toothpaste.

Use baking soda and add enough 3% hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Or you can simply dip the brush in the 3% hydrogen peroxide and brush your teeth. Another good idea is to dip your toothbrush in the hydrogen peroxide to keep it germ-free.

Toothbrush.

Soaking your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide will help keep your toothbrush free of harmful germs. With this simple action you make sure to keep your toothbrush clean.

Toothache.

Hydrogen peroxide is not a pain reliever, however, as an anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal agent, it is effective in treating the pathogen that is causing the infection. Rinse with hydrogen peroxide (several times a day), as well as with coconut oil (once a day).

Teeth whitening.

Having used 3% hydrogen peroxide as a mouth rinse for some time now, I am delighted to note that the teeth have been effortlessly bleached wonderfully. I used to pay so much for professional whitening. Live and learn.

NOTE: Do not drink any hydrogen peroxide. When you’re done doing the rinses, be sure to rinse your mouth out with water.

Brighten hair.

Hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent and is used to lighten hair. Dilute hydrogen peroxide at 3% with water (50/50) and spray the solution on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. You won’t have peroxide bleached hair like hair dye packs, but it will stand out more naturally if your hair is light brown or blonde. It also clears up little by little so it’s not a drastic change.

Contact lenses.

Hydrogen peroxide is used as a disinfectant in CIBA Vision (contact lens company), due to its ability to break down the proteins that accumulate in the lens due to the immune response of the eye, resulting in greater comfort for people with eyes sensitive.

Direct or diluted hydrogen peroxide.

Clean counters and tables with hydrogen peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell.  Simply put a little on your rag when you clean, or sprinkle it in hallways. Use hydrogen peroxide to clean stain-free glass and mirrors.

Keep a spray bottle with the 3% hydrogen peroxide (in a straight line) to disinfect the inside of the refrigerator and school children’s lunch bags.

Hydrogen peroxide in the dishwasher.

Add 2 oz of 3% hydrogen peroxide to your regular wash formula. Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water and keep it in all bathrooms to disinfect without damaging your septic system like bleach or most disinfectants. After rinsing your wooden cutting board, pour or spray hydrogen peroxide (and then vinegar) on it to kill salmonella and other bacteria.

The combination of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide makes an inexpensive, effective, and non-toxic disinfectant, and is said to be more effective at killing pathogens than chlorine. Since it is non-toxic, it can be used to disinfect fruits and vegetables, as well as pet toys, equipment, and cages.
