Why are these ingredients necessary to get rid of fleas? The essential oils used here are all-natural insecticides and pesticides, which either kill or deter pests due to their naturally occurring chemical compounds. In fact, many of them are in any trade.

How to get rid of fleas
These spooky, wingless insects known as fleas can bring a lot of trouble. Fleas can survive hot places, so dogs, rabbits, cats can be their hosts. One of the reasons for their overwhelming presence, and how difficult it can be to eradicate them, is the fact that flea eggs can fall anywhere inside your home.
These eggs then turn into larvae and finally into fleas. The worst thing is that flea eggs can remain inactive for more than a year, so many times when you think you have already eliminated fleas, they reappear again and out of nowhere. That is why you need regular monitoring and cleaning the home frequently, once you have removed the fleas.
Here are some effective home remedies to get rid of fleas and you can also control their repetition.
1. Flea collar
A flea collar is a great way to avoid fleas without always having to reapply something topical, and it keeps flea control constant and stable.
You will need to:
- 3 to 5 drops of cedar oil or lavender oil .
- 1 to 3 tablespoons of water.
- Bandana / Bandana / Bandana or your dog’s collar.
- an eyedropper (optional).
Instructions:
Dilute 2-3 drops of your chosen oil in 1-3 tablespoons of water. Some people use the oil undiluted, but personally I think it should always be diluted, even if it’s just a little bit. 2. Drink to stop fleas

- 1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
For every 40 pounds the dog weighs, add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to 1/4 liter of drinking water. We recommend that you use pure apple cider vinegar. Not only does it deter fleas, it improves puppies’ skin and coat from the inside out.
3. Flea comb
It contains lemon and lemon contains something called limonene, which is a chemical that kills and repels fleas, but is harmless to us or our pets.

- Fresh slices of a lemon
- 1 cup of fresh water
- a comb, sponge, or brush
Instructions.
Boil a cup of water and add the freshly cut lemon slices to it. Turn off the heat after the lemons have been added and cover the pot, letting the mixture sit overnight. The next day, dip a comb or pet brush in the liquid (make sure it’s cool enough) and run it through her hair.
A sponge works too, especially if you have a breed of dog with very short hair. A faster version is to bring the water to a boil, then add the freshly cut lemon. Then just dip the comb in, let it cool and use as specified above.4. Flea spray

If using, add 2-3 drops while adding 1 cup white distilled vinegar / apple cider vinegar / to 1 liter of fresh water. Fill the spray bottle, and spray the liquid on your dog, being careful not to get in the eyes, nose or ears, that is, avoid spraying near the face. Put on her neck and behind her ears / chin area, moisten a soft cloth with the mixture and wipe it over her body. Sprinkle your bed right away.
5. Flea bag
This little envelope contains things that smell nice to us, but will keep your pet’s critters away.
You will need to:
- Two 6-inch squares of breathable fabric (such as muslin)
- A rough handful of cedar chips

* The amounts will vary depending on the size of your dog. As a general rule of thumb, use 2 parts of water for every ½ cup of soap and lemon juice.
NOTE: Essential oils should always be diluted before using them. Pay attention and read and respect your dog’s body language. It may sound strange, but let him smell the different essences and see how he reacts. Anyone you think “likes” or tolerates the most should be the one you use on it. Dogs are estimated to be able to identify smells 1,000 to 10,000 times better than humans.
