The liver is a multitasking organ and one of the most important in the human body, so keeping it healthy is vital and a detox salad seems to go a long way. The liver must be restored to full functional health at least once a year.
Our liver is our main detoxifying organ that works very hard to process all the toxins, heavy metals and hormones that pass through it.
A lazy liver can cause your body to acquire a number of unwanted symptoms and complications. What causes pressure on your liver? Sugar, alcohol, caffeine, heavy metals, (mercury), hormonal imbalances, chemicals and environmental toxins.
The need to detoxify the liver.
Your body naturally produces large amounts of toxins simply by processing the food you need for energy. For example, when you eat protein, the body breaks it down and some of it turns into ammonia. If the liver is overworked, a mixture of ammonia is released into the blood, which can ultimately cause damage to the brain, nervous system, kidneys, and liver.
Another toxin that is released from cells when the liver is overloaded is lactic acid. This causes chronic fatigue and muscle aches. A large buildup can lead to anxiety, headaches, high blood pressure, or even panic attacks.
These are all good reasons to take care of our liver. But in addition to producing toxins naturally every day, your body also has to deal with additional environmental toxins that we constantly inhale and consume, negatively affecting the function of the liver and digestive tract.
To protect and take care of the liver, you can start by trying a salad that contains natural ingredients that help in the process of detoxifying the liver and improving liver function.
